Dryer Vent Cleaning
When lint builds up inside dryer vent tubing, the efficiency is dramatically reduced. This causes the inconvenience of longer drying times and the expense of higher energy bills. More dangerously, this lint build-up is highly flammable and becomes an increasing fire hazard that can threaten your home and family.
If it has begun taking longer for clothes to dry than it used to, this is an excellent sign that it is time to have your dryer vents cleaned. By providing regular maintenance, you will also avoid the premature breakdown of your fan motor and therefore lengthen the lifespan of your dryer. In the event that your old plastic vent tubing needs to be replaced, we offer professional installation of new aluminum tubing. Because it is metal, this tubing can contain the occasional spark that is normally produced by dryers and prevent a fire from spreading throughout your home. So you can enjoy an added peace of mind knowing you, your family and your home are safer.
Cleaning Process
Before beginning the cleaning process, the hose is first disconnected from the dryer. Tools that produce highly pressurized air are then used to clean the tubing. To loosen remaining lint from the walls of the tubing, special, flexible rods are then inserted. A powerful vacuum is then employed to suction out all debris. Afterwards, the tubing is reconnected to the dryer which is then turned on and inspected to ensure it is operating properly.
If preferred, the cleaning process can be skipped in favor of permanently replacing pre-existing plastic tubing with new aluminum flex.
